The highly anticipated release of Genshin Impact’s Version 6.0 is here, bringing with it the frigid, uncharted territory of Nod-Krai and a new host of characters and mechanics. As with every new major region, the update introduces a fresh collection of weapons, designed not only to complement the new characters but also to shake up the existing meta. A total of seven new weapons have been revealed, including two powerful 5-star signature weapons and a diverse set of 4-star options, all of which heavily feature the new “Lunar” Elemental Reactions.

New 5-Star Weapons: Signature Powerhouses

The Version 6.0 weapon banners will feature two new 5-star weapons, each a signature for the new characters making their debut. These weapons are designed to be the best-in-slot for their respective wielders, offering tailored stats and unique passive effects.

  • Nightweaver’s Looking Glass (5-Star Catalyst): This is the signature weapon for the new 5-star Dendro character, Lauma. The catalyst provides a high base ATK and a substantial Elemental Mastery bonus. Its passive, “Moonlit Serenade,” is built around the new “Lunar-Bloom” reaction, a specialized version of the Bloom reaction. The passive provides a significant increase to the character’s Elemental Mastery and offers additional party-wide bonuses when Lunar-Bloom is triggered, making it the perfect choice for Lauma’s kit, which revolves around this new reaction.
  • Bloodsoaked Ruins (5-Star Polearm): This powerful polearm is the signature weapon for the new 5-star Electro character, Flins. It offers a high base ATK and a Crit Rate bonus, making it an excellent choice for a main DPS character. The weapon’s passive, “Requiem of Ruin,” buffs “Lunar-Charged” damage, a new reaction involving Electro. It also provides a significant Crit DMG bonus and restores Elemental Energy, a crucial buff that makes it a must-have for Flins and other characters who can utilize the Lunar-Charged reaction.

These two weapons set a new standard for synergy, as their passives are deeply intertwined with the mechanics of their respective characters and the new Elemental Reactions introduced in Nod-Krai.

New 4-Star Weapons: A Focus on Elemental Reactions

In addition to the new 5-star weapons, Version 6.0 introduces five new forgeable 4-star weapons, one limited banner sword, and a free event catalyst. These weapons are a boon for free-to-play players, offering powerful alternatives that, at their highest refinement, can rival some 5-star options.

  • Master Key (4-Star Claymore): This forgeable claymore offers Energy Recharge as a secondary stat and a passive that increases Elemental Mastery after triggering an Elemental Reaction. This makes it a great option for support characters like Beidou and the new 4-star Hydro claymore user, Aino.
  • Serenity’s Call (4-Star Sword): Another forgeable weapon with a focus on Energy Recharge. Its passive increases Max HP after triggering an Elemental Reaction. This makes it a great choice for HP-scaling sword users like Kirara, Layla, and Furina, who can easily benefit from its effects.
  • Prospector’s Shovel (4-Star Polearm): This forgeable polearm has ATK% as a secondary stat and a passive that significantly boosts Electro-Charged and Lunar-Charged damage. This makes it an excellent free-to-play option for Flins and other Electro polearm users.
  • Snare Hook (4-Star Bow): A forgeable bow that, like the claymore and sword, provides Energy Recharge and a passive that increases Elemental Mastery. This makes it a solid option for characters like Venti, who rely on Elemental Reactions for damage and crowd control.
  • Blackmarrow Lantern (4-Star Catalyst): This forgeable catalyst provides a massive Elemental Mastery bonus and a passive that increases Bloom and Lunar-Bloom damage. This weapon is considered an incredible free-to-play option for Lauma and other Dendro/Hydro catalyst users, as it can achieve a high percentage of the performance of the 5-star signature weapon.
  • Moonweaver’s Dawn (4-Star Sword): A limited-banner sword that offers a high base ATK and ATK%. Its passive increases Elemental Burst DMG, with an even greater boost for characters with low energy costs. This makes it a very niche but incredibly powerful option for a select few characters who meet its strict criteria.
  • Etherlight Spindlelute (4-Star Catalyst): This free event weapon provides a large Elemental Mastery bonus after using an Elemental Skill. This makes it a highly versatile and powerful free-to-play weapon, as it can be used by a wide variety of catalyst users who rely on Elemental Reactions.

The introduction of these seven new weapons, with their focus on the new “Lunar” Elemental Reactions, signals a major shift in the meta and provides players with more options than ever before. Whether you’re a whale pulling for signature weapons or a free-to-play player looking for strong alternatives, Genshin Impact Version 6.0 has something for everyone.
